Trash Pickup is Now on Tuesday

Trash and recycling pickup now occurs every TUESDAY during the week. Place your trash and recycling containers curbside no earlier than 6pm the evening prior to pick up. When there is a holiday, a special pick up schedule will take effect. This information will be available on our website, and is typically moved forward by 1 day. Therefore, pickup will occur on the Wednesday of the week when there is a holiday and will resume normal scheduled pickup thereafter.

Remove your garbage and recycling container the day of pickup. Permanently housing your garbage can outside AND in front of your garage is unsightly and unacceptable. Containers should remain inside your garage, until the following week’s scheduled pickup. Thank you!

Hello again all Neighborhood Watch Coordinators!

Here’s wishing you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Please see the attached Monthly Report for November 2011. The overall numbers look to be down a bit!
That is great to see but let’s not let our guard down! Encourage everyone to
always stay alert to their surroundings. Although many people already do this,
another great tip is to remind all your folks of the importance of having every
single one of their neighbor’s phone numbers stored in their own phones for
instant access should they see something or someone out of the ordinary around
their block. I list mine as NEIGHBOR JIM, NEIGHBOR LORI, NEIGHBOR GREG,
etc….. It is a great feeling knowing we all ‘have each other’s backs’ and are
looking out for one another!

Always remember - We’re ‘better together’!

Take good care………………………..Randy

Lights are Out

There are a couple of lamp post lights that are out.  The electrician has been notified and we are working on having them replaced as soon as possible.  Please use extra caution while driving and be careful if walking at night.  Thank you for your patience.

Crime Watch Program-Rewind

A Crime Watch Program offers a small group of neighboring households the ability to share a protective concern within their community.  A Crime Watch Program is a defensive strategy rather than an offensive strategy.  This includes identifying the precise patterns of crime in that particular neighborhoods, then acting in conjunction with the Fishers Police Department to reduce ones own risk, as well as the risk of each neighbor.

Sand Creek Woods Subdivision has a Crime Watch Program already in place; however, we are in need of new volunteers to be Block Captains.  This commitment will take very little of your time and would benefit our neighborhood by keeping crime down.

Sgt. Randy McFarland will participate in an informational meeting being held on November 29th at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Sue Calufetti, 10431 Sand Creek Blvd. (913-0428).  Please RSVP by Nov. 21st, 2011.

Volunteer participation from neighbors is required for this program to be successful.

Citizen Feedback Survey

(Fishers, Indiana) — As part of our ongoing accreditation process through the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies, the Fishers Police Department is again conducting a citizen’s feedback survey. It is the goal of the Fishers Police Department to achieve and maintain the highest level of quality service for our residents and visitors.  Input from the citizens of Fishers is essential in the Fishers Police Department’s continued effort to promote effective police services and protection to all members of the community.  Please complete the survey on line at  https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FISHERSPD2011Survey

KOI Problem

All of the KOI fish in the pond near Cedar and Sand Creek Boulevard have died.  We are working to get this cleaned up as soon as possible.  Extreme high and low temperatures to these sensitive fish is the most probable reason for this to have happened.

The Sand Creek Woods HOA is putting on a fall festival on October 1st from 2-7 pm in the Cedar Drive common area.   Dinner will be at 5pm with grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and lemonade.  There will be activities for the kids!  Please plan on coming and bringing your lawn chairs.   Rain date is Sunday Oct 2 at the same time.  Please RSVP to hoa@scwhomes.com so we have an idea of how many.  Should be a lot of fun for the whole family!!
