New Landscaping on North Entrance
The HOA recently used funds to improve the landscaping at our 121st Street (North) entrance in front of the pond. This including adding couple of islands with mulch and various bushes and trees. We submitted paperwork for a matching grant from the Town of Fishers and are waiting to see if we received the grant. We would use any additional funds to add to this existing landscaping, such as possibly adding some rocks or more trees. Take a look. The improvement looks great!!
2011 Garage Sale!!
The Sand Creek Woods Garage Sale for 2011 will be Friday April 13, and Saturday April 14th from 8am to 3pm. We are doing this in conjunction with Spyglass Fall’s annual garage sale. The HOA will be placing an ad and providing signage at the entrances.
Participation is optional. Please contact Eva if you have any questions regarding the sale or have special items* for sale. Signs will be posted at entrances and select intersections.
Let’s make this season’s garage sale a HUGE success!

Dues Collection Policy
1. Dues are collected once a year.
2. Invoices are to be mailed out no later than January 15th of each year.
3. Due date for collection is February 1st of each year.
4. Unpaid dues are considered late February 28th of each year and are immediately assessed a $75 late charge.
5. Unpaid dues as of February 28th will be referred to HOA attorney to be sent a letter.
6. Homeowners will have 30 days to respond to attorney and pay dues.
7. If no action is taken on the part of the delinquent homeowner, a lien will be filed through the attorney office. The lien will include the costs of the attorney to file lien and attorney’s fees for time spent on that homeowner’s situation
8. If continued nonpayment occurs, the board of directors can instruct the attorney to start foreclosure proceeding on the residence.
All efforts are made to make contact with the homeowner throughout this process to arrange payment options. The board of directors will work with any homeowner to get each year’s dues paid.
It is the responsibility of the homeowner to acknowledge the debt and work with the board of directors in reaching an agreement.

We observe New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
What happens when my service day falls on a holiday?
As a general rule, holidays push our pickup schedules back one day. For example, if a holiday falls on a Monday, Monday’s routes will be run on Tuesday, Tuesday’s routes on Wednesday, and so forth through Saturday.

Due to environmental and health issues, receptacles for residential waste or recyclable material, whether containing items or empty, should not be stored in any outdoor location. In no event, shall garbage or recyclable material be stored in streets, driveways, or outside of any dwelling.
Dogs, cats and wild animals such as raccoons and opossums can and will get into the garbage, and they find what they want any way they can. This in turn attracts all sorts of unhealthy and dirty animals, including flies which breed many different harmful bacteria to humans.
Also, leaving the garbage cans outside ultimately diminishes the visual appearance and economic value of the neighborhood.

Mailboxes
After that horrible winter we just had, you might need to replace your mailbox! There are many reasons for this- peeling paint, door or flag missing, damages, rust or missing part, or a bad post or newspaper receptacle.
The HOA does not get directly involved with the replacement or the costs involved. All costs are the homeowner’s responsibility. The cost for a new mailbox is $73 plus $10 installation.
We do have a standard vendor we use who will know your mailbox type and color and can do any replacement or repairs. We ask that you use Mailbox Solutions so your mailbox is identical to our neighborhood standards, and they also have very reasonable prices.
