Interest in SCW Garage Sale
If you were unable to participate in our June neighborhood garage sale, we are considering organizing another one in the fall. If you have any interest in participating please contact Eva Propst by August 25th. The dates being considered are weekend of September 20th or 27th.For our June garage sale, I noticed that more participants were interested in Saturday than Friday. So what I am asking of you is the following:
Which weekend would you prefer?:
September 20th or September 27th
Which days are you more willing to participate?:
Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday
I will send out another e-mail as the RSVP date approaches to let you know whether or not we will have enough people. Based on participation the HOA will consider submitting an ad in the Indy Star and Topics.
Summer Time and the Pool
That’s right, it’s starting to look like summer, well if it ever dries out. We’ve been asked by the management of the Sand Creek Woods Apartments to remind you that we are not allowed to use the pool or apartment clubhouse facilities. Thanks for your cooperation.
6/11/2008 Email Update:
The pool/fitness facility or clubhouse is ONLY to be used by the residents of the apartments. These amenities are NOT to be used by the neighboring residents of Sand Creek Woods subdivision.
This message is going out after 2 separate incidences this past week, one of which was not very pleasant. We have been informed by the apartment management group, that anyone other than the apartment residents found using the pool will be considered trespassing and the Fishers police will be called.
We hope that this clears any misunderstandings and we appreciate your cooperation.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 19, 2008
“Click It or Ticket” Returns and Aims to Buckle Down on Those Not Buckled Up With a focus on All Unbuckled Motorists — Day and Night
(Fishers, Indiana) – In an effort to save lives while increasing seat belt use across the state, the Fishers Police Department will join with more than 250 state and local law enforcement agencies to launch Indiana’s “Click It or Ticket” enforcement campaign.
The statewide “Click It or Ticket” seat belt mobilization will take place from May 16 – June 1, covering the highly traveled Memorial Day holiday. With an emphasis this year on convincing more motorists to buckle up day and night, law enforcement officers will be on the look out for unrestrained motorists around the clock.
Through high-visibility enforcement efforts, Fishers police officers will work overtime hours to ensure that all drivers and passengers in the Hoosier state buckle up every trip, every time or they will face a fine.

Free Hydrangeas and Hostas to a Good Home
If you feel like digging, our beloved Treasurer Nancy Wargo has six Hydrangeas and three Hostas that she would like to give away. Nancy is changing up her landscaping and planting something else, but these are nice developed plants.
You will need to dig them quickly as she wants to plant the new plants within a couple of weeks.
If you are interested in the plants, or would like to add your own neighborhood “advertisement” (for a free item) on the website, please contact us.

On 3/23/08 there was a report of criminal mischief on Aspen Drive. There were also thefts at the SCW apartments on 1/11/08 and 3/14/08.
As always, please remember to lock your cars and leave your garage doors shut. If you would like to be added to the SCW Crime Watch email list, please contact us.
Do You Have a Complaint Against Your Cable Company?
For those of you who subscribed to Insight Cable for television and/or Internet access, you are probably aware that you have been switched over to Comcast. The Town of Fishers has provided the following information if you have had problems during the transition:
“In 2006, the Indiana General Assembly passed legislation that allowed cable companies to fall under state-wide franchise agreement starting in 2007.
In the past, the Town of Fishers operated a local franchise agreement with Insight cable company which regulated certain operations withing the town’s corporate limits. Due to the legislation, the Town of Fishers no longer has regulatory authority over cable providers.
Many residents have contacted us with complaints regarding fees or services from their cable company. While the Town no longer has authority to regulate, there are several other courses of action residents can take for relief of grievances.
